Are laptops safe?

Has anyone heard anything about laptops being dangerous to the fetus?  Is it safe to keep the laptop on my belly?  What if I'm connected to wireless internet?

Its recommended laptops are not placed on your lap during pregnancy.

Followup - i was in the dr's office for my 13 wk checkup last week and "FitPregnancy" has a short piece about the safety of electronic devices.  Apparently even cell phones can pose a risk and they recommend keeping the cell phone away from your belly!  Ditto with laptops or any other wireless device.

have you tried seabands that go on your wrists? How about you try that... I used them and they helped me. Google it. I got mine from walmart..... They are  cheap. There is alot of information on this forum about what pregnant people did naturally to ease nausea that you can try that did not require drugs. There should be a search button above. Good luck Hun.

Thanks for the answers!  I did try googling and there are alot of answers which say basically "It's not dangerous but play it safe and keep the laptop off your belly".  I just wish there was some more definitive research out there so that I'd know for sure....I guess at this point I have no choice but to be extra careful and keep it off my stomach even though I found that it does help for nausea... oh well...

It's the laptop not your internet connection that causes radiation.you can't be 110% sure which laptopnis safe and which isn't. Take the side of caution. Whether you're pregnant or not, always be on top of things that can cause cancers and health issues

I was informed not to have laptops too close to the belly since radiation is omitted. Invest in a lap tray (tv dinner tray)  so you dont have direct contact to th body and away from belly or the ones that are in front of you on legs, I use that one since it is arms length away. It is better to be safe than sorry.

i agree ive looked it up a lot laptops dont give off any radiation or whatever the only danger is the heat so put something in between like a pillow or lay it on your lap below your hips instead of directly on your stomach..thats what i do.

It is safe as long as its not laying directly on top of your belly, with nothing in between. The bottom of the laptop can get super hot and uncomfortable.
