Ok thank you everyone . Thank you doctor. I appreciate your reply. When is the earliest one can test and which test from over the counter? Ok and if she is late on her period it could just be the emergency contraceptive .
Hi!
If your girlfriend was my patient, I would advise her that she is probably pretty safe--there is debate about whether there actually is sperm in the pre-ejaculate fluid or not. Some studies cast doubt on that theory, althought it is best to always use a condom. Also, if she had just finished her period, the emergency contraception should be effective, because it works by delaying ovluation and she probably had not ovulated yet.
Emergency contraception frequently causes cycle changes, so if her period is late, I would advise a pregnancy test, but would not be too alarmed.
Hope this helps!

I'd say there's a small risk still. I've come across many ladies that the morning after pill didn't work on and they became pregnant.
I wouldn't worry too much especially if she took the morning after pill. The blood she had might not have been her period,it could have just been you pushing on her cervix which can cause some blood.
I think the chances of a pregnancy are pretty slim so I wouldn't worry. However I would suggest being a more responsible adult and carrying protection with with you. Sex is how babies are made mind you.
