Kaelynn arrived October 8th a 5:39 am weighing in at 8 pounds 7 ounces and measuring 54 cms long. After 22 hours of labour, 2 hours of pushing we had to opt out for a c-section. Kaelynn needed assistance breathing in the beginning and because of this had a pneumothorax, which caused her left lung to leak some air upon breathing and she had a pocket of air between her lung and heart. The kept her in intensive care for all of Wed, Thurs and half of Friday (talk about a rough go on Mom!). But, after careful monitoring and some great doctors she is fine now and we are finally at home!

Gina - I went in to be induced a week after my due date and they hooked me up to the monitor only to find out that I was having contractions (small ones) so they couldn't induce me with the gel. They gave me cervadil which apparently releases the same hormone over time and can be taken out at any point.

Congratz I am sorry you had to go through that at the beginning but it sounds like everything is good now! Best Wishes to you and your beautiful Baby girl Kaelynn!
I'm a little behind on all the posts...did you go into labor or did they induce you?? Either way, she's here!! That's fantastic!!! And shes healthy and beautiful!! CONGRATS!! I still remember when you got your BFP-thats crazy!! Enjoy your little girl, can't wait to see more pictures!
