lots of cramps

I just found out that I am pregnant, I'm about 2 weeks along (4 according to docs by lmp) anyway I am having a lot of medium cramping. Since I've been pregnant 5 times I should know if this is normal but it's been awhile since my last pregnancy so I can't remember lol.  I'm just worried about miscarriage since I have had 3, I am on both metformin and prometrium. Thanks for you help ladies.

my cramps aren't getting worse, they kind of come and go but they are never really painful, medium is the worst they get, I was wearing kind of tight pants today I wondered if that contributed?? I know the baby is smaller than a grain of rice, but I still didn't know if tight jeans could have an effect at this stage or not. I'm really afraid of a miscarriage since I've had 3 before.

I had implantation bleeding all the way until around 8 weeks!! As long as it is just spotting! And no clots. You can have spotting also around your normal cycle date too! Are your cramps getting worse? I had normal cramps and still do and I am 11 weeks. They can be painful for me too. But I always have had painful cramps! Let me know how you are and if anything has changed!! Good luck!!

ok, now I have started spotting a little.  I e-mailed my doctor but haven't gotten a response.  Is it too late for implantation spotting or am I probably having a miscarriage?  I tested again an my positives are getting darker.  I thought that was good but I'm just not sure.

Many women are used to having stomach cramps during their regular periods. The kind of cramps you get in early pregnancy aren't usually as painful as menstrual ones and are probably caused by the ligaments stretching as the uterus grows. If it feels more like mild tugging than a stabbing pain, then you probably have nothing to worry about. =]

I was worried about the same thing when i first found out i was pregnant at about 6 weeks, before i'd found out i kept thinking my period was coming because i was having cramping, not severe but about what you are saying, medium or so cramping. Then once i found out i asked the nurse practitioner at the clinic where i found out at and she said it is completely normal, alot of woman have implantation cramping and then cramping from their uterus and muscles stretching and preparing to carry the baby. So no worries! They told me as long as there was no bleeding and the cramping isnt severe everything should be fine.
