My son will be 5 months old in a few days and we want to make an appointment to have his photos professionally taken. We wanted to have them done when he was first born but since he was so Colic we figured he would just cry through the entire session! lol. So this is his first time getting his picture professionally taken.

I was wondering where you ladies have gone to get this done? I know where they have photo sessions but I'm really looking for feedback on your experience and satisfaction with your pictures. I know Sears, Walmart etc does them but was wondering how much you paid, what you got and if you were happy with them. We were looking into doing them at Sears...so any feedback would be appreciated! Or if there are any other places you got them done and they came out awesome, let me know!

I always get my pictures from private photographers. If you look up baby photographers or family photographers in your area on google they will come up with a lot of really good listings. It can run a little more pricey then sears or walmart or whatever but I personally think the pictures are WAY more worth it.

If I were you, i would probably try to find a local company to get your picture taken, they tend to do a better job and are more willing to negotiate price. Hope this helps!

We got Julians taken every month for the first year and got them done at Sears! They are awsome andhavea lot of expieranceworkingwith kids... Thecost is very reasonable as well!  Someofhis pics are on my profile!

I got mine done in the Sears in New Jersey and I loved them.

My family has always gone to sears for pictures.  They all have been great!  You can normally go to sears.com click on portrait studio and get coupons too.  Also Olan Mills (don't know if you have one) but they did my niece's and they are all really good too.  They probably have discounts online too!  Good luck!  Can't wait to see them.

I like JC Pennies-  I have done picture people, and they are cute and you get the picts while you wait, but they are $$...  I have never done sears, but I have heard what the others are saying-  they seem to be good.

We went to sears and they turned out good. There were a couple I didnt like but there were many to choose from. If you go to Sears . com and go to the bottom click on portrait studio and there is a spot where you can click on coupons and there are a bunch of different ones you can print off. You saw Sarah's photos...they came out nice.....

I am getting Sarah's done again at 6 months!!!

Sears is the BEST studio!

Walmart is cheap, cheap, cheap ****. Sorry to say it but every single person I know whose gotten pictures done there are always unsatisfied and the pictures look like awful.

You can find Sears coupons in magazines or online for a FREE session, plus some other freebies. I think we paid about $150 and were completely satisfied. Our session went really well!

We have gone to Jcpennys & walmart: Walmart we went once and never went back, I did not like them at all! Jcpennys, I LOVE!! We have been going there since I was PG with my 1st and he will be 4 in Nov.( our org. ladie took his very 1st pic when he was only 1.5weeks old and his 1st bday pic!! talk about an Awww moment) We have bought the discount card(i forget what they call it) Its 20$(good for 2years) and you never have to pay for a sitting fee, which is great if you are going to go more then once. You can get coupons of there site, for a huge pakage for only 7.99(one pose) Or a sheet for 3.99, which we do because I like different pose's. These places have different works so you  should test them all out and once you find one you like you can always ask her her/him....At our place I like them all! and they all of a GREAT job as you can look by my pics!!

I'm not sure if there is one around you, but Portrait Innovations does a really good job and they are cheap.  I have only seen other peoples pictures, but they were all really nice and they got awesome deals.  I've gotten pictures done with myself and husband at Wal-Mart, they were good but very generic looking.

I have gotten them done at sears, olan mills, walmart and a private studio.. and the best honestly was sears...  i had a coupon which helped out a lot..  you can check out my pictures if you want.. the christmas pics of aubree were taken at sears.. and her first birthday pictures were taken at olan mills.
