Baby measuring 4 days behind?

I had an early scan to rule out an ectopic pregnancy at 6 weeks 1 day (was experiencing some pain on my left side) at a early pregnancy clinic.  The baby measured exactly 6 weeks 1 day and a hb was detected.  8 days later I had my first appointment with my high risk pregnancy doctor (had a previous miscarriage at 13 weeks).  I know that babies are supposed to gain approximately 1 mm per day starting at 6 weeks.  According to this and my last scan 8 days ago, the baby should have measured 7 weeks 2 days.  Instead the baby measured 6 weeks 5 days.  Of course this worried me, but the dr said there is nothing to worry about especially since we picked up a hb of 151 bpm.  I am not so worried that my dates could be off, but more worried that the baby only grew 4 mm in 8 days when it should have grown 8 mm in 8 days. Of course I am not looking for medical advice, just  seeing if this has happened to anyone else?  Also, I know that a miscarriage this early can not be stopped, but I would at least like to prepare myself if this might be the case.

Hi,

with my 4th pregnancy which was also my first successful one, i too was scanned early at what i thought was 6 weeks for me. the sonographer saw the yolk sac and gest sac and agreed with my dates from the doctor.
I was then taken to a side room and told i had another blighted ovum (missed miscarriage) as the gestational sac was measuring 1mm bigger than it should have for how far along i was, it was also what they call an irregular shaped gest sac, i was advised to have a d&c as soon as possible, or i could wait another week and be re-scanned.
I was so desperate for a successful pregnancy I opted to wait, the worst week of my life...but  a week late the same sonographer picked up my babys hb within seconds of starting the scan.
She also said I was measuring just 6 weeks at that point, i don't know what happened in between that week but the heartbeat was seen and my dd is now 6. I wouldn't worry too much, if the hb has been seen that is a great sign, just try and enjoy your pregnancy!

One week later, I went back to the doctor and the baby not only was measuring 7 weeks 5 days (one week difference), but was measuring 8 weeks 2 days (which is only one day off from my original due date.)  It seems like the first or second scan was a little off.  There was a healthy heartbeat and as of now, there is nothing to worry about.
