Baby name

Ok so i like the name Kate or Katie for my baby, but I think they are a little short on their own, I am considering them both, but unsure. I made up a name (it maybe somewhere in a book, but i've never seen it) Katianna (pronouced Katy-ona, not anna) I like it, but am not sure if it is too unusual. I have also thought about Kathleen, but think maybe it is a little old fashion, and either Katianna or  Kathleen could go be Kate or Katie. I am probably going to have the middle name as Kristina, since my best friend's name is Kristina and she has been bugging me sinc emy first pregnancy to name one after her (this is my 4th). i am also open to name suggestions since i am undecided! so please vote for which name or spelling you like and any sugestions you want to add!

I have a friend names Kathleen. However, we have ALWAYS called her Katie, and she is now a school teacher, and goes by Kathleen at work, and claims she LOVES her name because she was able to modify it while young to be cute and sassy, but was also able to use her given name in a professional setting. I think that IF you use a first name with a "K" the middle name shouldn't start with the same letter. Just a thought. =)

I voted Katyona because the other spelling would be said wrong! i like katyona because you could shorten that to Kate or Katie!

My name is Katie. Just Katie, nothing else. I love it. I was always so happy my parent didn't name me kathleen or katherine or anything but Katie. I always felt that if I wanted to sound older I would go by Kate. Which to me sounds "older".  I have always been very happy with my name.

I voted Katie as its my name but spelt with a y instead. My full name is katy-may.  I love my name as I've never come across anyone else with it, although most people only know me as katy :)

i like kaitlin for a katie.

Something to consider- if you want katianna pronounced like ah-na instead of like anna is pronounced, you may want to consider 1 n. Names with 2 n's are generally pronounced like anna is, while names with 1 n are generally pronounced like you want. Of course, you can bend the rules, but if you want more people pronouncing it correctly after they read it, you may want to consider it. (like the difference between the names Ana, which is pronounced the Spanish way, and the traditional English Anna)
