Back Pain and Pregnancy

I am 61/2 months pregnant and finding myself with a lot of back pain. It's getting to the point where I am barely able to stand for more than ten minutes at a time because any longer than that I start hurting pretty bad which is making it very hard to get anything done around the house or to go out and do much of anything at all. I've tried new shoes, changing my posture and taking frequent sitting breaks and doesn't help I just can't stand any longer than about 10 minutes or I start hurting alot. Being that I am pregnant I do not want to have to rely on taking anything for pain even anything over the counter I just don't want to risk it so I was wondering if anyone has any advice on what I can do to alleviate the pain are there any exercises I can do or anything like? I am also finding myself short of breath a lot as well only for about a minute or so but if anyone has any idea's that would be great. Thank you

For me, its the exact opposite! I can't sit or lay! My back aches when I'm driving. Sitting up right kills me. I have a lot of pelvic and hip pain. Standing and walking actually relieves the pain for a bit. Try exercises or yoga! It truly helps.

I mentioned the same thing to my midwife Wednesday, she suggested sending me to physio but I didnt wanna mess around traveling, she also suggested a belly band that's meant to be good at taking some ofthe strain off your back

Ask your OB to refer you to physical therapy. They can help a lot. Warm baths or a heating pad can help. Also sleep with a pillow between your legs at night to keep your back in the right position.
