Battling depression

I've battled depression for most of my life. I always had more good days then bad. I'm now 18w pregnant and my depression seems to be getting worse. I've never seen a doctor for it and can't even afford to. I can't remember the last time I was honestly happy and each day it feels like it's getting worse. I don't want this to hurt my baby. Any recommendations on dealing with depression while pregnant? Thanks

Nope, I've never seen a doctor for it. Just kinda delt with it. It's just gotten so much worse since being pregnant. I'm on my mom's insurance and she gets detailed insurance statements and I don't want her finding out by me seeing a specialist.  I will talk to my obgyn about it though and see what she says.

I think its a good thing that u accept what is going on with u verses many people who r in denial for any symotoms of depression. That way u could look for treatment as u r seeking it now. Try to keep busy and do things that make u smile or make u feel some sort of happiness. Depressio. May also come from stress. Take one day at a time and one task at a time. Try not to overwhelm urself. Believe me it does happen. Chin up u will be good and a good momma for caring about ur babies health. ☺

It's  good to have a good support system  to be there for you don't be afraid to ask for help what your going through is not easy your body is going through a whole different change it never experienced before if your a FTM also talk to your doctor about how you feel he can recommend you  to a specialist and if don't have insurance apply for Medicaid they offer it to pregnant women

If you have too much free time, try keeping busy but most importantly keep your mind busy. Rekindle with old hobbies/activities or find new ones! Also exercising reduces depression... Also, I just started on this forum thing and it's pretty cool to speak to others who can relate to you :)
