Babysitting?

Okay so this might sound like a dumb question, but I've been really struggling to find a job..and now that I'm almost 32weeks I'm almost positive I won't find one. My bf and I are really struggling to make ends meet so I thought maybe I could try babysitting. Well the thing is I've never really been around kids. I'm an only child and just don't have tons of experience. Do you think it's a bad idea to try to watch someone else's kid for a little extra money?

Yes I definitely plan on only watching one child at least 4 years old. Hopefully it all works out! (:

I wouldn't sign up for anything until you have time to settle in with your baby.  (I got depression) then I'd pick an easy child. 2 and Older probably. Just to make sure it's easy on you and you don't feel time taken away from your baby.  It's a great way to go if it works for you.  I couldn't do it. I stress out with one kid lol

LOTS of new moms know hardly anything about kids. How would you? It's all a learning experience and hey, babysitting will help! You're so welcome :)

I've been around my bf's nephew quite a bit and he seems easy..he's 4. So I'll try to aim around that age. Thank you for your input! I was afraid someone might say something like "your having a kid and don't know anything about them." So thanks for being nice! (:

Not at all. You're probably super likely to be hired because you're pregnant. I'd say if you have zero experience, just watch kids older than 3. Then they are past most of the stuff that you could struggle with. Watching a kid for a few hours is pretty easy. Just feed them, play with them, and make sure they don't put anything up there nose lol. Use your common sense and ask the mom if there is anything you should know about their child beforehand.
