Being induced in the morning, question!!!

I'm being induced tomorrow morning and I totally forgot to ask my doctor if I'm allowed to eat before I get there. To the Mommas that have been induced before, can I?

Eat while you can. After they start the induction you usually get put on a very strict liquid diet

Oh okay but it won't mess anything up with the meds that they give me?

I don't think it would. Me and my OB were discussing induction at my last appointment and he gave me a pamphlet that said it was okay to eat before you go in

When I was induced they told me no food for 6-8 hours before. I bet you can call your nurse hotline and they will get the answer for you.

Yeah many doctors and hospitals have different instructions so if you want a definite answer it would be good to call labor and delivery or a nurse and ask them ask bout their specific rules.

You can eat before you go. When I got induced they even gave me food while I was there waiting for them to turn on the pitocin.
