Blood

My wife and i recently found out we are pregnant.  We are about 6 weeks.  She went to urinate and when she went to clean up, she saw dark blood spots.  Not a lot, but it was noticeable.  Does anyone know if this is normal or should we be concernex

Bleeding during pregnancy is not considered normal.  She should call her dr to find out what they want her to do.

I would mention itto your doctor to be safe.. Many women bleed in early pregnancy but also for many women it is a sign of evenual miscarriage. Its better just to make sure your doctor is aware in case they wont to investigate it further.

It definitely maybe nothing.

I had some dark (brown) blood early on in my pregnancy.  I scheduled an appointment ans they did an ultrasound... all was fine (TG!)  I am currently 36 weeks.  They told me the dark blood is "old" blood and can be common.  You should definitely report this to your doctor, but know that it doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem  Hope that gives you some peace of mind and that all is well!
