Bright bowels on u/s (echogenic bowels)

I had my 17 week scan on July 1st and everything looked great, baby measured exactly 17 weeks, which was were I was.  The only thing that had my DR. and the sono tech concerned was the fact that the baby's bowels looked too bright in the u/s which could be a soft marker for CF.  I have to go in for a level 2 sono on July 23...THEY ARE MAKING ME WAIT 3 WEEKS!!!  I'm really concerned and I hope everything is okay.  Has anyone experienced this before?  Please share!

I am going through the same thing right now.  I went into my u/s on July 26th.  Told me I was having a little boy and that everything looked great.  
Then they showed me the bowels and said that they didn't like the way they looked.
They sent me to the womens center in Charlotte for another u/s to double check these findings. I didn't have to wait though they sent me the next day 27th.
They told me there that the baby had echogenic bowel and that there were many causes of it.  CF, DS, Swallowed blood, infectious diseases, or it could even be nothing.
They took the blood for the DS, CF and Infectious diseases and the DS came back 1 in 10000 chance. I was not a carrier of CF.  But the infectious disease test came back that I had 3 of 4 of the infections that they test for.  Dr. said it doesn't make sence that they would all come back positive. So now I go back this tuesday to do blood test again and if they still come back weird then they are going to have to do a amnio.
I hope your test come back good cause it's starting to get really hard to enjoy your pregnancy when they keep telling you that something may or may not be wrong with the baby.  They just don't know!
