Brown discharge ?

I am 27 weeks pregnant and last night I had bright red spotting on my panty liner than it went to a brown color with strings... I'm not sure if it means that I'm bound to give birth soon or lose the baby ... I'm not due till January 19th 2017

Sounds to me like your mucus plug . Which you can lose and it just simply grows back. But, when in doubt give your OB / midwife a call.

If i was you I would contact your midwife or local hospital sweet it could be absolutely nothing but it could also be a sign something is not quite right. Get in for a scan and I really hope all is well x
