Can this be preeclampsia or HELLP syndrome?

I'm 18 weeks today and for the past week-two weeks I have been getting severely dizzy and had constant headaches. My vision gets spotty a lot and sometimes it will completely black out, or my vision will get very bright. I haven't gained any weight this entire pregnancy and was not on any pre-natals until 14 weeks. I will get extremely disoriented to the point that I don't know what is going on around me and can not focus at all. I feel swollen almost all of the time and have been having upper abdominal pain. I am also very sensitive to light and headaches have been lasting for days to weeks at a time. I have felt the baby kick before and lately haven't at all. I just have this really bad feeling that something isn't right.
Is this normal? Or does anyone have any ideas of what is going on?

Thank to girls so much! I'm gonna talk to my doctor when I go in tomorrow and make sure I drink a bunch of water tonight! I hope I'm just stressing and it's nothing too big. I have a history of being sick a lot and MRSA and kidney problems, so I worry constantly.

Pre eclampsia doesnt occur until after 20 weeks of pregnancy and the only way to tell is if your have high blood pressure and protein in your urine so only a doctor can say. Im 20+4 with my second and i had eclampsia in my last pregnancy and my chances are very high of getting it again, so far so good but its early stage to tell as im only 20+4 and your 18weeks so its very unlikely it could be something else but if i was u go to accident and emergancy or something to get istant answer rather than waiting. Its not something to mess about with. Good luck

My doctor told me that preeclampsia is usually accompanied by sudden weight gain... Although there are exceptions to every rule :-\ I think your best move would be to talk to a doctor ASAP - don't spend too much time worrying and stressing yourself out over what could very well be a case of dehydration. Not at all good, but not as serious as preeclampsia or HELLP.

I went to the er for the SAME thing. Its from not eating or drinking enough.  I started having pains in my belly but they said it was from being dehydrated.  My husband freaked out and took me to the hospital because I was soo out of it. Also preeclampsia wont be diagnosed til after 20 weeks is what I was told

Its not alway past down. My mom had it and I was born early,  but I don't have it. It has a lot to do with diet. Try to get  80 grams of protein a day.

My aunt had twins and had preeclampsia, and me and both of my younger sisters were born early, my littlest sister up to 3 months early because my mom got very sick.

I'm not sure of my blood pressure, my heart is beating hard and racing most of the time. I'm going to try to talk to my doctor at my next appointment, I moved recently and actually haven't seen any doctor this entire pregnancy.

Preeclampsia can show up any time. I have known people to get it at 24 weeks. Those do sound like symptoms that could be I'm not saying they are but I would call your Dr just to be safe.

Your blood pressure would be really high also if it is. But like I said. It doesn't usually show up until 3rd tri.

You could be really dehydrated. Hellp doesn't show up until like 32-34 weeks so its probably not. Is your face and hands all of a sudden swollen?
