Cash aid?

Does anyone know how cash aid works in Cali? My moms friend told her that even tho im on my moms food stamps i qualify to get cash aid because im pregnant nd wen my daughter gets here ill get more.. Nd too because im in college nd over 18.. My moms ganna talk to someone thursday bout it but i thought id ask here.. It would be really helpful right now if i could get it cuz my moms ganna be out on disability the end of the month so shes barely ganna get any money so it would help yu no.. Nd too also would i have to put down who my daughters dad is? Cuz id rather not.. Nd would they go after him fur anythin regardin cash aid? I no child support will but thats not fur some months...

The money IS for her if it's keeping a roof over your head & food in your belly while pregnant. You don't have to put him down, but if you do they will persue him for support.

they will go after the father bc the money is supposed to be used for the purpose of the baby

Well the babys not even born yet.. Nd im tryin to do this to help my mom pay bills till she goes back to work.. Shes ganna be gettin surgery nd she got denied fur fmla so she wont get payed from work while shes out nd disabilitys barely ganna give her anything.. So i dnt want them goin after my daughters dad wen the moneys not even ganna be used on the baby nd the babys not even here yu no

Im in los angeles and im on assistance. My neighbor is actually my case worker haha. So if you DON'T want.to put father don't but they WILL make you sign.a alfa david (sp) that you have to sign and explain why his not being mentioned. If I were you id put you & him have a personal agreement that he gives you $50 a month for baby. Nomore!!!!! Or else you won't qualify for the maximum amount. I know all ins and outs of the system cause of my neighbor

The state sees it as it's his job to help too once the baby is born. They will get child support ordered & it will go to them. Not you because usually the aid is more than the support order. You won't get both.

So i can juss leave the dad part blank? Thats wat i did wit my medical papers.. Cuz i feel that this money im wantin to get is to help my mom mainly like pay bills nd stuff nuthin to do wit the baby so why am i ganna go after her dad? Get me?

In Cali they don't make you list the dad but if you do establish his paternity then they will go after him.

I dnt want to put him down on the cash aid thing.. Im ganna do child support but till after the bby comes.. My moms friend said i can get it now nd recieve like 300 a month probably nd thatll help us out alot.. Id rather my daughters dads name be on nuthin right now

I know in south carolina, if you apply for welfare(cash aid) that they automatically file child support charges for the father if he isn't helping.
