Chance of pregnancy
I’m 41 and my wife is 36. We have no kids and don’t have plans- I’m planning on getting a vasectomy. We had sex during her ‘fertile’ window. She does take birth control but we ALWAYS use condoms correctly. Afterwards we filled it with water and there appeared to be no breaks or leaks. After ejaculating I immediately withdrew and the condom stayed on and was snug. She also took a Plan B about 30 hours later. There are reasons I’d rather not go into as to why we don’t want kids. What are the chances we could be the unlucky 2% since the condom was used correctly and had no breaks. We had sex on October 9th late afternoon and she took the plan b about 9:30 the next evening. Please keep it respectful even if you don’t agree with us not wanting kids
Condom during sex. No breakage (you don't need to fill them with water after, they break wide open, pin holes are a myth), and then emergency contraception for her after (totally unnecessary and actually a bad idea as now she has those excess hormones to deal with and it will mess up her cycle for the next two to three months. I hope you don't go through that every time you two have sex! Maybe she should take BC pills until you get your vasectomy. But I would not worry about pregnancy here although she will possibly be late trying to process the emergency contraceptive. There is no reason to believe she'd get pregnant when the condom is used correctly and then the EC on top of it. I'd relax and not worry.

We don’t. We just let our minds play tricks on us. I deal with severe mental health issues so that’s why we feel it’s best to not have kids and go through with a vasectomy. I guess I got worried cause I usually don’t have an orgasm when we have sex cause I usually control it. Yesterday she said she thought she had a yeast infection which I’ve heard is a symptom. I asked a doctor and explained everything and they said there is virtually no chance of pregnancy. Thanks for the response!
