Conception science.

I learned this in Sex Ed. Still got pregnant my very first time without protection. I see so many posts about this subject, I had to post myself.
If you've had sex with more than one partner, between your periods, theres a chance of anyone of them being the dad. If he put it in you, whether he "didn't finish", pulled out whatever, there's a chance. Condoms arent failsafe. If you "only did it once", there's a chance.  Pre-ejaculate has sperm, sperm live for days in the female body, conception dates aren't 100% accurate, you don't always ovulate in the dead center of your cycle, and it doesn't matter if the dudes are two weeks apart when you slept together. There's a chance. Get a DNA test before you think you "know" and screw up your, your childs, and any potential fathers future. Accidents happen, don't compound the problem. Learning the truth is invaluable in situations like this.

I know mine is off. I was taking ovulation tests daily. I knew when exactly my period started and ended and the day I had a positive ovulation test and the exact date we had sex after ovulation. I knew when I conceived but they told me at my first ultrasound that I was a week off. I said I was 10 weeks and they insisted based on ultrasound that I was 11 weeks.

I was told a ultrasound before teelve weeks can have a 4-5 day margain of error by a dr so im going with their medical opinion over sex ed but if its after.that stage then the margain of error is greater

It may or may not be. That's the weird thing about pregnancy, it's still not an exact science.

Yep. And BAM. Prego. Before that month, I only had sex with condoms too. One time, unprotected, almost to my cycle. Prego. Nature is funny that way.

Heather was that the only time you had sex that month?

Misread that one - but yes, you can even conceive during that. Low chances, but a chance.

@July2baby That's EXACTLY when my daughter was conceived at 16yrs old. A week before my period. Ovulated late.

@crisram I couldn't help myself! Maybe they don't teach these things in every sex ed class? Different states and all? I'm in Cali.  It just drives me nuts that mamas are about to be mamas and have no idea how it happens lol!

I've been trying to figure out when I conceived not because two different dads just curiosity since I only has sex the day before and of my last period and then 3 days leading up to the "conception date"iI was given from my 8 week ultrasound and I just didn't think that I would've concieved by having sex 5 days before my period ended but my sister is trying to tell me that's when I got pregnant so I'm just really confused

Like Heather said, even if the ultrasound is right on, sperm live for several days and could still be any guy that was let in there.

Ultrasounds can be two weeks off in either direction.

Not to the exact day, it's an estimate. Of there are two men, and sperm live for days, still could be either one.

Yeah ultrasounds can actualy be way off.  They are just an estimate anyway.
