Omg I feel the same today wad the worse I had to take a long nap just to feel better. I been drinking water, ginger ale eating everything just to feel better. I feel absolutely horrible. I had to send the hubby to get me oranges because that always seemed to help my nausea.
I can sympathize for sure. I only vomited once so far, but I am queasy ALL day, and the only thing that I have found to keep it away is eating. I am stuffing my face constantly to make myself feel better, but it really won't bode well after 16 weeks I'm sure. (which is how long my nausea was last pregnancy).
I am only just under 7 weeks and have gained 2 pounds already. If I don't eat I get nauseous to the point I am begging to actually vomit and feel better.
Sorry you are in the same boat, wish I had some advice, but eating is all that is working for me so far. I also take a chewable pre-natal, seems to help a little bit.
Good luck!
I was like that for awhile. After my third month it went away. U have to find what works for u. And find what exactly triggers ur nausea. Mine was surtain smells most of the time. I wanted to hit the toilet but never had to.
for the smells. Keep a handfull of peppermints in ur pocket. Suck on them dont chew.
Other nausea problems- always have a drink with u at all times. And a light snack. Like saltines or debbie cakes. What ever suits ur fancy.
And check ur blood sugar. U could be running low or high blood sugar. Which also triggers nausea. And some dizziness
It's largely something to live through, and although I do vomit, I don't think it's easier for those who are "only" nauseous!
Never letting your stomach empty completely is a good tip. Some things I have found help are largely bland starchy and/or protein-rich foods (pasta, meat, sharp cheese), milk, lemon (hot tea or in ice cold), ginger (I let the ginger chew candies dissolve in my mouth). Soups help too. My theory is that part of the nausea (for me, at least) is related to an over-production of saliva, so foods that dry out, or wash out my mouth tend to be best for me.
My amazing husband, who has started packing our lunches, packs me lots of little things to snack on throughout the day, so I eat a few bites every hour or so. The foods I can tolerate change almost daily so it's very helpful to have small amounts of a wide variety of foods around.
My doc also suggested a small dose of vitamin B6. I'm not sure if it really helps but have heard of others swearing by it.
