Contractions every 3 minutes if I walk?

Is it normal to contract every 3 minutes when walking around? If im walking for more than 5 minutes, then this happens to me and it does not stop until i sit down.

^thank you for the response. I went into preterm labor with my 2nd, at 34 weeks and was induced at 36 weeks because of health reasons and my son came out 8 lbs. Perhaps same thing is happening now just differently. I think ill give doc a call in the morning.

Before coming to the decision of giving me those shots they did a swab in my vagina to test if I was gonna go into premature labor and that came back positive so that's why they decided to do those shots so maybe your doctor can do that test on you

You should go to the hospital, same thing was happening to me when I was 32 weeks, and they will give you steroid shots to mature the baby's lungs incase you have the baby early. I ended up having my daughter at 37 weeks, so for the sake of the shots they told me I was able to take her home once my hospital stay was up. Or maybe contact your doctor and they could also do those shots in the doctors office.

Its like as soon as i get up and walk. Like ill be grocery shopping and they get soo strong and consistent. Last night i was at target for an hour and 30 mins and the entire time i had intense contractions every 3-4 mins but as soon as i sat down when i got home, they stopped and spread further apart. Im only 34 weeks so hope its not a sign of preterm labor.

It could be labor. When I started timing my contractions they were 2.5 minutes apart and when I walked they went down to 1.5 minutes apart. The key is to see if they get stronger. If it gets more painful over the next few hours you're in labor.

I thought maybe that too but i drink a lot of water, and they are a little painful to the point that its hard to continue walking. I have an appointment tuesday so ill be sure to ask.

Possibly Braxton Hicks. If so you need water. I'm a hostess so I cramp while walking too. But since they are so close could be labor contractions. I would get it checked to make sure.
