I had a csection with my first i was really nervous but if you just relax it goes smoothly. Recovery for me was fast and i was up walking that same night. Just stay positive its actually pretty easy. Also take all the help you can get for the first two weeks sometimes u can be extra tired. I also had to tell the nurse to stop giving me the pain med because i could barely even stay awake to see my baby

I had a c section with my first also and will be having a scheduled one tomorrow actually, I labored for 20 hours the first time before they took me for my c section and I wouldn't dilate so it's different then scheduled so I'm told. With my first I was very shakey during my c section due to nerves because it was my first major surgery, but the meds they give you could make you nauseas and possibly vomit. Other then that you will feel some pressure but no pain. After my c section (and everyone says I was like this because I labored first) I had a hard time walking my first few days by myself but after so many hours they want you to try and they help you, it is painful at first if you haven't had any meds and you will be sore for a while. It took me the full 6 weeks to completely heal. It wasn't that bad though as long as you have someone to help you with the baby and try to avoid over doing it. I know that's hard with a new born but take all the help you can get to help you heal faster and definitely listen to what your doctor says. I actually had to schedule my c section this time because I got pregnant when my first born was 5 month old so he is only 14 months now and I will have a lot of help after I have baby number 2 because I want to rest as much as possible so I can heal fast.
