Curious about telling the fam

Just wondering how anybody else is dealing with friends or family members who come up and bluntly ask you if you're pregnant? This has happened twice already, and I haven't even been confirmed at the clinic yet!

I had a hard time with this too, especially when they ask you repeatedly. After having a miscarriage late in the first trimester last year, we wanted to wait awhile to announce it. But it is awkward when the same people keep asking you bluntly, like it is their right to know. It feels like such a personal decision when you choose to share your exciting news, and I wish people would have respected that. And then when we did announce it, all they said was "yeah, we figured." Annoying!

A few people asked me, and I just looked down at my (ridiculously flat) stomach, and said, "Oh goodness, do I look pregnant?"  I didn't consider it a lie since I didn't say I wasn't pregnant.  =)

well as long as you know you are, I would either say yes I am but not far along so I wasnt going to mention it yet, or just smile and say not sure yet but hoping to be or something along those lines, it all depends how close you are to the people, ha! I didnt tell my mum once until I was 37 wks hahaha, she lives overseas and came to visit and she opened the door to my belly , she nearly died, that was with baby number 9, she gets cranky with me when I tell her I'm preggers :)
