DNA Testing??

Ok dont scream at me I just saw the posts on Yahoo YIKES!! But will my medi-caid cover the cost for DNA testing? From everything I saw the answer is no! I just wanna find out how I go about this so when i go to the hospital to deliver the baby we can get the test done! Do i just call one of these testing clinics and have them come to the hospital i ve already found the numbers for a couple of them so im going to call and get pricing and what not! Has any1 else had it done or has any info or advice about it?

I'm pretty sure my X bf is the father he was the only one I was with during my normal O time but we broke up recently and cus we knew each other 4 wks when i found out he wants to be sure its his baby. That and b4 i found out I was pg we broke up for 2 wks and I slept with a friend one time on CD21 but I do not think its his baby since thats way late to O and I ve never had cycles issues! But I'm willing to do the DNA for every1's sake!

If you are going to get child support, you can do the testing through the state. I personally never did it, but my mom and a friend did. I think you each pay $100 or something around there. I'm not sure If the kits you can buy qualify when it comes to child support, but I know the ones at walgreens are $20 for the kit and then $250 when you send it in.

There are kits you can by. There are also more pricy tests that require photo ids and a third party to swab and take photos of the individuals involved. My husband had this legal form done in search of his biological father. It was very professional way to do it unfortunately the man tested was not his dad and we are back at the drawing board. It's all up to you as far as how much you spend as they greatly vary in price.

Discuss this with your doctor. Mine told me the best way to go about it. Some hospitals or medical clinics in your area will be able to do a DNA test. Your doctor will know information on that.
