DNA testing

So my bboyfriends dad is insisting to get a DNA test of our child. To prove our son is really my boyfriends , im so hurt and so pissed off that he can think that, by boyfriend knows dam well its his child but he wants to prove to his dad im not like that, i feel i shouldn't prove anything to that man but i.dont want him looking down on me thinking im like that eaither, i live in the state of Texas and i was wondering if you have to pay for a DNA tests?  Im with my babys father so i do not plan on putting him on child support or anything cause i know if i do then they'd give a test. And im not sure if a hospital will give one? Or we have to pay out of cash some place else? Because if we do have to pay, im going to be telling this idiotic man that HES paying for this stupid test not me!

Well if its the father wanting to have a dna test he should pay for it. You have every right to refuse to take one unless court ordered. It could be that the father of the babys dad is scared and wants to make sure that he knows its his grandson before getting emotionally attatched. It happened to one of my guy friends.he helped raise a baby for two years and suspected later that it may have not been his and went to court for dna testing, although he was on birth certificate, he was biologically not the father.yes he was hurt but insisted on being the childs non biological father...

Although you may have not done anything wrong some people do get emotionally attached immidiately... im no doctor juat a medical student, but if u say the babys dad is the dad, that should be enough.

I hope things get better...stay strong ok?

Okay well in that matter HE can pay for it, cause iam not willing to pay to prove to some man that hasn't even cared or has even got baby anything! Not even for his baby shower, not even a 10$ pack of pampers, and im guessing its only him, im more than sure its my bf stepmom as well, me and my parents are so pissed off at this situation how they can think of me like that, but oh well my son is almost here in two weeks so thats all that matters!

If it's him who wants it and not your boyfriend then i'd say he can pay for it or no go.

I wouldn't do it. I'd make him pay if he was concerned about it. I hate people like that.

OMG that's terrible. If it's independent I believe that you have to pay for it. Is his dad only feeling like that or are there other family members too?  That's just not right. I don't feel it be any of his business. Good luck with that kind of FIL
