I guess I had it in my head I would be like 2 or 3 cm when she checked today, but she said I'm about a "fingertip" what does that mean? Like 1 or less?

I have 11 days to go and got checked today and I am 1 1/2 cent dialated and 50% effaced! It means nothing! With my first I was 1 cent.and 100% effaced for 3 weeks until my water broke at 41 weeks... Good Luck

Have you had any contractions this whole pregnancy?  I ask because I am also 37 weeks (37+2) and I think they are gonna check me at my next appointment (Tuesday) and I am convinced that I haven't dilated at all because the most I've had is Braxton Hicks once every few days or so.

i was 36 weeks when my doc check me and she said i wasn't dilated at all "/ she said she will check me again when im 39 weeks I just hope im dilated some -_-

I dont want to be a debbie downer, but I was a "fingertip" from 37 weeks toll I was induced at 41.5 weeks. The pitocin induction with basically no dilation even after the cerdavil turned into 21 hours of labor, 2 hours of pushing, and ended with an emergency csection due to fetal distress. From week 37 on I tried everything except castor oil, maybe that's why I never dilated lol. I wish you better luck though, even after how tough it was, holding yoir baby after it all is the sweetest reward possible

I plan to! Im going to take EPO too so hopefully that will help.

That's not bad! Your only 37 weeks and already dilated that's good progress. I'm almost 38 weeks and 2cm so your on the same track I was. Just walk a lot

I'm 37 weeks so I know I still have a few more weeks but I just feel like its not going to happen on its own.

I don't want to be induced either but my doctor don't talk induction till 42 weeks.

But she did tell me that I could go anytime but u never no

Ugh I really hope I progress faster because she said she won't let me go past 41 weeks an I really don't want to be induced.

OMG I just got back from my appointment and I feel the same way. And i was told I was only 1 cm. I'm actually pretty disappointed.

And from what I understood 1cm is a finger tip
