Diflucan ( fluconazole) 35+4

Hi ladies, so I've had a yeast infection for about 3 months now and after repeatedly telling my doctor, today she did the group b strep and said it looks like I have a yeast infection(really?!) I haven't been itchy the whole 3 months but in February I got the canesten cream (after going to l&d for thinking i had an infection, she told me to get some) and use it on days when I am itchy. She gave me a prescription for one tablet of Diflucan, when I was picking up my prescription, the pharmacy techs said its not recommended during pregnancy, mainly first trimester, but they gave me the pill and I haven't taken it yet. I was wanting to know your thoughts or if any of you have used this ?? Sorry it's so long! All over google it said its not recommended in high doses, but I have a 150mg pill and that's not considered a high dose.. Thanks ladies, I just don't wanna harm my baby in any way

Well darn if it's safe why wouldn't my doc give me it. I absolutely HATE having to use monistant. First time ever using it and its just so annoying and unpleasant!!

Yes it's safe after 12 weeks.

I am on round 2 of my dose.

I am a rare case and I get VERY bad yeast and BV infections which cause bladder retention and usually have to get catherized for a week. I've had a cath 4 times this pregnancy and i'm only 16 weeks! I just took diflucan again yesterday and have another dose I will be taking in 3-5 days if the symptoms are still here.

When I'm not pregnant I use oil of oregano orally for yeast. It's so much better for your system but for some reason it doesn't work when I'm pregnant. It's such a sever case that the oil of oregano isn't strong enough or something.

Good luck hope it clears up.

I have one now and I asked my doc is there was any pills for it. She told yes but their not recommended for pregnant woman. So she told me to use one of the over the counter treatments like monistant (not sure if spelled correctly) I personally wouldn't risk taking it. Even the pharmacists told you its not recommended. And like I mentioned my doc also said its not recommended.
