8 wks First time questions

Hello everyone! I am about 8w4d into my first pregnancy and I'm so paranoid about miscarriage. My symptoms fluctuate and I know that's normal but whenever I feel ok I worry somethings wrong. My symptoms are very minimal anyway which makes me feel like I'm not really pregnant and I'm just anxious for my first appt to hear the babys heartbeat and see that it's ok. Has anyone else felt this way and everything turned out fine? Please share. (:

We have all felt that way in the beginning but just relax and think positive! It will all be okay and in no time will you be in your second trimester and excited about life and your baby! Have a great day mommies!

I was really lucky and got one of each, there's definitely something about a little boy and his mommy! My son is stuck to me 24/7 haha!

Thanks, I hope so! Oh wow, it's crazy how pregnancies can all be so different. I've been looking to my mom for insight on how my pregnancy might go and so far all we have in common is no vomiting. I'm really hoping for a boy! I'd be happy no matter what but I've always wanted a little boy. (:

Thank you, and you'll be a great mom too! My 1st pregnancy I had every symptom imaginable, and my 2nd pregnancy I had it for like a week and it left, then she never kicked, I felt great my entire pregnancy, was half the size of my first pregnancy, so I know the worry. Everyone told me it was having a girl that makes you feel like you don't want to get attached, and that was true for me! Are you hoping for a boy or girl?

That was absolutely the best response I could have possibly received. It's very reassuring to hear someone else understands these awful bouts of worry. I've been scared to let myself get too excited and attached too but your advice is absolutely right. Thank you so much. You seem like a great mom! (:

Ohh yeah, I think it goes in phases, miscarriage, preterm labor, then stillbirth, and when the baby comes it's a whole other world of worries, it's part of being a mom (and a good one!) My last pregnancy from the very beginning I thought the worst, thought for sure I was going to miscarry, then she hardly ever kicked, and I still thought things weren't going to come out okay, and by the end I was so sure she was going to come out with something wrong with her, I honestly never let myself get attached to her at all (as terrible as that sounds), I thought at every appt it would be the one they didn't find her H/B, or the ultrasounds would show something terrible, and my daughter came out 8lbs 12ozs, and absolutely perfect! I worried terribly with my son's pregnancy too and thought it was just being a first time pregnant woman, but it definitely wasn't, it's just pregnancy in general, haha. I'm sure everything is going to be perfectly fine, just try to relax and enjoy it, you get very few times in your life where you'll experience growing a child, and you should enjoy it, I wasted both of my pregnancies worrying. Just know whatever happens is out of your hands, and no amount of worrying in the world can change it, in a few months you'll be holding your son or daughter and none of it will matter! :)
