Do most women write birthing plans?

I'm not sure if I should write a birthing plan. If I should
, what should I include?

Nope. I told my dr exactly what birth experience I want and what alternatives I was open to.  He put it in my paperwork in the system so when I go to the hospital and they look me up its all right there. I have full intention of telling them when i get there too.

I personally never did but I think a birthing plan is a good idea. Just include some major things you would or would not like to happen. Do you want an epidural?  Would you like to be cut or tear naturally if it came down to it. Are you against forceps? Do you want to spend alone time with the baby when its first born? There's so many things you can write in your birth plan

I didnt with my first but I am with this one just because I dont know anyone that went to this one so I dont know what its like and how they handle things so I would like it written out if they ask if I have one along with telling them what I want.

No. The hospital gave me a birth plan form... just a few very basic things about what I wanted so they would have an idea. Nothing major or super detialed.
