Do you get sick from a c-section? Or is it the medication? Saw it on a baby story...

I was just wondering i saw on a baby story the doc said you could get sick because one girl was upset.  Have you gotten sick alot? Maybe because of the epidural?

I didn't get sick from my csection and I had been contracting for 3 hrs preop. (they say I wasn't in labor... not in labor my *ss... those contractions freaking hurt!)

I'm prone to migraine and didn't get sick from the epidural/spinal either!

Sometimes, just the intense contractions make some people sick!  So it could just be contractions.  Everyone is different.

oh, also if your c-section is planned you are told not to eat past midnight the night before.  but since i didn't know i would be at the hospital the next day i didn't do that and i ate breakfast too...  so that could have been a reason for me throwing up too.

i've had 4 c-sections and the only one i got sick during was the 1st one.  i believe it was from the epidural.  i threw up before the c-section (which was an emergency one).
