Does this count as a missed period?

OK. If you've been following along you already know I've been having a heckuva time. Theoretically I'd be 12 weeks but I have had some questionable bleeding and have been waiting to officially skip a period. My doctor visit is set for next week.

Last month I had light bleeding over about 3 days, around the same time my period would normally be due. We weren't sure whether to count it as a period, decidual bleedng or something else. It didn't feel like my previous miscarriage. 29 days later, I had mild (for me) cramps and one little spot of brown blood in undies, along with a tiny bit on tissue (as in you wouldn't see it if you weren't looking). It has been well over 24 hours. I'm still having cramps off and on but no bleeding since. No red blood. I never, ever start bleeding and stop like that during my cycle.

Should I count this as a missed period? Or is it too soon to call?

Thanks Clysta. I know it's impossible to have a real period while pregnant. Just second-guessing myself. I'm an emotional mess these days and just want the waiting over already.

Women do not have a menstrual cycle while pregnant, so all of these would have been missed periods. It is physically impossible to have one, as the baby would be flushed out with the rest of the tissue.
