So I decided to listen to my baby girls heartbeat cause I haven't in a while and I turned it on and her heartbeat sounded really irregular it was like pow pow and then stopped and then pow pow. Should I be worried? I am 27w5d.

As the heart is developing, sometimes it beats irregular or skips a beat. This is called an arrhythmia. It is common and quite normal but if you are concerned, ask your doctor. It also could just be the Doppler you are using as they are not as good as the ones the doctors use. Another possibility is that baby moved positions and you were unable to hear it for a few seconds causing the heartbeat to sound like it was irregular.

Whenever my midwife checks the heartbeat she always says "good, nice and variable" so yes its normal for the heartbeat to be different when your listening to it

She has the hiccups now. This could be a good sign?

I think it's the baby beat one. I have a doctors appoitment tomorrow so I am going to ask him. I barely feel her moving but she was kicking the doppler.

Yes heartbeat shouldn't be like that... I can't find my bbys heartbeat with my doppler but he kicks it.

heartbeat should sound quick but steady and no pause! .. if you feel movement I wouldn't worry.

Just out of curiosity what doppler do ya use?  ... x
