Dressing up

I've always liked to dress up but since my morning sickness I've been looking like gross. I hate it. At work I used to see big pregnant women come in all dressed up and Idk how they do it. I feel tired and lazy to get cute I feel bad because my bf looks nice most of the time and I look like a monster. What can I do to feel better and actually want to dress up? What do yall do?

Good idea! I'm a lipgloss person but maybe its time to try the lipstick. I just don't know what to do with my hair! Its always in that bun way at the top of my head and I have a big forehead so if its not straightened I look weird. Lol Idk maybe I need to find my medicine and just take it so I can feel better and actually want to look good

Cute turbans (not those awful things grandma used to wear that were made of polyester) and big earrings and red lipstick, plus a lot of black shirts and soft pants and shorts, carried me through.  Especially the lipstick.  I could hide my unwashed hair with the turban, wear the black top and shorts, and blind everyone with the lipstick, and sort of looked like I cared.

Hey there!

You didn't mention how far along you are ... but I can recall how generally exhausted and 'blah' I felt during my first trimester. I never had any kind of morning sickness, thank goodness because the fatigue was more than enough for me! But because I worked until I was in my 8th month, I had to get up and do the whole makeup and get dressed thing! I didn't work with my 2nd and 3rd child and I did my best to look decent, especially when I had to leave the house! I'm not saying I FELT like doing it or enjoyed doing my hair and makeup, etc. ... but I got it done anyway. Don't be so hard on yourself - it's okay to give yourself a break. You don't have to look like you're ready to go out on a date ... just do some 'basic's' and make YOU feel better about yourself. How you feel will make a huge difference in how you look! I wish you the very best, take care!
