Due May 10th (Baby has Skeletal Dysplasia)

I'm due May 10th to a baby girl, Miss Cecilia Marie. Its my first pregnancy and I'm beyond worried. She has nonlethal Skeletal Dysplasia.. I've been trying to find someone to talk to that has gone through this before. I'm currently almost 35 and a half weeks along. She is weighing roughly 5 pounds. all her measurements are about a week ahead minus her arms and legs. Which have been consistently behind 5 weeks (Short long bones). She also has clubbed feet due to the condition, I've been told. Other than that she is perfect never any mention of any markers. I've had the quad screen and all came back negative. I opted out of an amnio, didn't want to risk my princess coming early at the time. I'm planning on doing genetic testing after shes born. But I just cant shake this worried feeling. Has this happened to anyone else?

The best thing is to find a group with club feet or a group to suppprt you.
Btw this happened to me momma... my whole pregancy I was stressed with markers abeing told at 25 weeks to terminate.... I did a harmony test paid throu the states and came back fine... I was told he'd only be 1 to 3 lbs... had to come early wasn't growing.. well came out 5 lbs healthy as can be nothing they told me was true... he did have a minor cleft and they missed it it was me who said something ... so pls the stress effects the baby.. I am a major stressor and I feel caused my son more harm then good came out colicky and after having a tough two years yes our energy does effect baby's kids... somehingnim trying to relax more about. Anyways what I'm trying to say is don't dismiss that unsettled feeling as it's a mommas gut feeling never wrong but don't worry to much they got a lot of my sons dignoses wrong from ultrasounds and the major test came back he was fine. All your baby may have is a club foot best thing to do is find a group with clubbed feel I did this with cleft and it was amazing what support info I got from all the mommas!! Love and light to you just know we are here to support you and that the tests can be wrong I feel if the major one said your baby's ok then trust it but your guts telling you she'll be clubbed but this is so minor and fixable yes it sucks but you know what after a year two you'd never know she was and then she'll be catching up running with her peers...

This is kind of an "umbrella" diagnosis,  so you might want to try to get more information from your doctor.  That diagnosis just means the skeleton is forming abnormally,  and it's not a condition that puts your baby's life at risk.

This could affect her life significantly,  or not significantly at all,  once her feet are surgically corrected.

Can you get more information from your doctor that will help clarify her condition?

Best wishes.  What a cute name.
