Echogenic foci???

At my Anatomy scan at 18 weeks there was an echogenic foci noted. After talking with the nurse she states there is nothing to worry about since there is a low risk of downs based on first trimester screening, however i am still worried. I'm more worried about the possible heart defect, but downs syndrome scares my hubby to no end. Mostly I think we are both ready for no medical issues. It has been one thing after another since my daughter was born 22 months ago.  First my father passed away from colon cancer, then our daughter was diagnosised with a cancerous tumor. She is finishing her chemo June 8th, and has a clear bill of health, I think me and hubby jut feel like we couldn't handle another health issue.... I know if that's the case we will figure out how to handle it, but enough is enough....

From what I just read on they say it usually disappears by the third trimester and that its usually is a normal part of growth and isnt really anything to worry about. If I were u, I would try not to worry too much and do some research, it might ease ur mind! Good luck hun
