mucus plug...tmi

Ok as some of you may know I have been cramping, having back pains and tons of pressure and sharp pains in my uterus. My last doctor appointment I found out I was a fingertip dilated but not quite a centimeter. Pains have been constantly intensifying everyday. Now onto my question lol...tonight I had a rusty color in my discharge and then later on in the evening I had a lot of tightening in my belly and loads of pressure so I tried to use the restroom. Well I successfully had a bowel movement but also noticed a mucus like substance floating on the top. It had that rusty color that I had in my discharge a few hours before. Could this be my mucus plug or could I have tried to hard to go?...I didnt have to strain too much to go so I'm not sure.

Loogie is the perfect comparison. One word of advice: DONT GOOGLE MUCUS PLUG ON GOOGLE IMAGES!!!

That's the only reason I know what it looks like lmao

Hmm how far along are you sometimes poo can have a mucus with it but that's usually only if you've recently been sick. I'm a first time mommy but sounds like your mucus plug

I never lost mine with my son until birth, but it sounds like it to me. If it was gloopy and looked like a huge wet booger, it's very very likely.
