Emma Rose Arrived!!!!!

Much earlier than planned....Emma Rose arrived on Sat, Sept 15th weighing 2 lbs and 15 ozs and 15 1/2 inches long. I was 28 weeks and 5 days pregnant. She is currently in the NICU and is expected to come home in Dec, but is doing really well so she might be able to come home earlier in Nov sometime! :)

Just wanted to share the news of our Rainbow Baby! :)

Thanks! It was PAINFUL as I didn't even have time for pain meds, but it was FAST! (I went from 2 cm's dilated to 9cm's in less than 30 minutes.) We literally ran over the Anesthesiologist who was on the way in to give me my epidural when I was being brought to the OR to deliver her. We left the labor room at 8:04AM and I had her at 8:10AM)

My water broke on Labor Day and I was hospitalized. The Dr's were trying to keep me pregnant until Oct 29th (week 35) but Emma has other plans. (I had been on bed rest since June for an incompetent cervix.

She takes after her Mommy! I was born when my Mom was 26 weeks pregnant.....31 years ago! LOL!
