Epidural...side effects...anyone else???????

I was in so much f'ing pain last night my fingers are numb still. I had always woken up from my hand what I thought was falling asleep with my first child..........now my second a month old my fingers and hand goes numb and i am in pain after the second baby...........I got an epi and the anestisiologist missed and pricked me a billion times over and claims I have scholiosis and thats his excuse i was crying so bad when i got my epi because i felt pain and could feel the numbness and pain radiating throughout my legs now i have pain and numbness in the fingers.........i have a nerve test today please wish me luck.................I pray this is temporary!

I got the epidural 3 years ago and had no side effects. My older sister however had I think had  either the epidural or spinal (I can't remember right now) but it turned out that she was leaking fluid in her back. So maybe you should go to the hospital/Dr and get it checked out.

I had an epi 5 years ago and the only pain I have been experiencing is in my lower back since I became pregnant again but I was told nerve damage is a side effect. GL and hope you find out something.

I'm sorry. Nerve damage is pretty common with epis. I hope you heal soon.

Hopefully they give you answers that you want & need.
That's why if I have another baby I don't want to get the epidural..I have had nerve issues at the top of my back towards my shoulder from it (goes numb from time to time & painful)..I have had it for over 5 years. Good luck!
