I am really sorry to hear you had an ectopic pregnancy. I have read that this really barely increases the odds of it occurring again. It increases the odds by a mere 15 percent which isn't zero but not a lot too. Most likely, you will conceive and have a traditional, healthy pregnancy after the ectopic because the odds are in your favor to do so. Best of luck to you!
My sympathy for the tough times. You could wait another week before testing, or run a couple of tests a week apart. A strong early positive test would reduce the chance of ectopic, which typically has a slow rise in hCG hormone. A series of blood tests showing a slow rise in hCG would raise concerns. An ultrasound at the right time would confirm. You might look for a doctor office that would help with this so you could stay clear of the hospital. Good luck!
