Experiences

If you've had a child, how was the delivery?  I mean I'm wondering about the details, he pain, the worst part, what was going through your mind, how you felt when it was over, etc. Anything goes, c-section, medicated, or all natural. I planon doing naturally if I can, so hopefully some ladies give me some insight on their natural experiences(:

I went into preterm labor with my twins at 19 weeks they stopped it and put me on bed rest. Had chest pains at 32 weeks went to the hospital was 98 effaced and 2cm. They tried magnesium to stop it. I felt no contractions. Waters broke still felt no contractions. I was put on a life flight and flown to tucson medical center. Ultrasound one breech one transverse with umbilical cord in my cervix. Rushed to or five to ten mins later babies were born and off to nicu. Then I stopped breathing thanks to coming off the spinal. It was like an out of body experience i could hear the beeping and nurses and drs. Four days in the hospital up and walking the next day pumping the same day. Babies in nicu for three weeks, and i refused all pain meds. I hope for a vbac this time but tmc might not have my op report any more so its  in the air. Sorry so long.

I hope all goes well for you as well! There are plenty if horror stories when it comes to childbirth. Especially with the first time but i wanted to be sure to share my story because even though i was 9 days overdue and had a very rare and possibly dangerous cord insertion that i didn't even know about until after delivering a very healthy 7 lb 11 oz and 21 inch girl, childbirth can be amazing and isn't always horrible.

Two natural deliveries no meds. #1 was brutal. #2 was like taking a stroll barefoot thru the lake of fire. But I plan on doing it all over again with this one!! :)))

I know i was one of few first time moms to get so lucky but i delivered my daughter naturally like i had hoped i would and plan to do with my second in late August or early September. I was 9 days overdue but the labor was rather easy. I had taken an ambien the night before to get some rest and woke up at 6:55am and knew i was in labor. By the time i made it to the hospital around 1pm my contractions (that i was hardly feeling) were only 3 minutes apart and about an hour later when they checked me i was 7cm and fully effaced. I walked the labor loop for an hour or so, then they broke my water and found that i was 8cm. No more than an hour later my little girl was finally here and my midwife was finally able to see a velamentous cord insertion in person.
