I went for a scan when I was 6 weeks and they didn't see anything found out I had a miscarriage but you're only 2-4 wekks so that may not be the case for you wishing you all the best luck and sprinkling baby powder on you.
I also would like to mention i have had no pains and no blood what so ever !
And im most likley to be 2 weeks other then 4 ..
You won't see anything if you're only 2-4 weeks pregnant. You're body is just beginning to develop the pregnancy & is just a bunch of cells doubling & quadrupling to form into the things that will eventually become the yolk sac & fetal pull. Getting your levels checked will let you know if its a viable preg or not. At about 5+ weeks is when you will likely "see" what you're looking for.
Try not to worry about this at all. I have no idea why your doctor did a scan this early. As you said, it's pointless. At 2 weeks pregnant the baby is just implanting. At 4 weeks it's the size of a dot and nothing is seen. You MIGHT see a thickened lining, and that's about it. You won't see anything anywhere this soon. If you're only 2 weeks, wait 4-6 weeks before you have another scan done. If you're 4 weeks, wait 2-4 weeks.
pain or blood isnt the end of all.. i had a scan at 12 weeks after not having any bleeding or cramps and there was sjust a sac.. With that said, any doctor that does as scan at 2-4 weeks pregnant is ridiculous... At 4 weeks, you wont see anything but uterine thickening .... You probably are not 2 weeks because based on the ways doctors date you if your baby was conceived two weeks ago then you would be 4 weeks...
If you just tested positive though, its probably wayyyyyyyyyy too early to see anything so at this point its not worth stressing.. i wouldnt go back for another for at least 2 weeks...
he should be testing your hcg lvls at this stage for viability... The heart doesnt even start beating until 5 weeks.. SO you shouldnt work yourself up.. its your doctors mistake to have the scan so early.. especially if you think itso nly been two weeks since you conceived! =D
If your between 2-4 weeks pregnant, your baby still hasn't completed the implantation process and is still trying to get comfy in your uterus. I wouldn't worry hon.
