FIRST SCAN TODAY, NO BABY OR SACK

So i went for my first scan today. Im anything from 2 weeks pregnant to 4 weeks, so yea u could say it was kinda pointless. The doctor scared me by saying it could be one of the two things, 1- Too early in pregnancy to see anything which i was hoping that was the reson nothing showd up, or 2- an ectopic pregnancy. So i am realy scared now that i may have a baby growing in my tubes but i dont know why she said it could be because she also said there was so sign of an ectopic pregnancy. They took my blood and im wating to hear from them tomorrow, and i have to go back in 48 hours (which ill obv be less now) to have another blood test to see if my hormone levels have doubled, gone down or stayed the same. should i see anything on an internal scan at 2 weeks pregnant? because somewhere i read it should have a heart beat by that stage! i had a miscarriage 5 months ago so im realy scared this may happen again or even an ectopic pregnancy. Am i worrying too much? Has anyone been for a scan and not seen anything ? Help me please thanks !

If your between 2-4 weeks pregnant, your baby still hasn't completed the implantation process and is still trying to get comfy in your uterus. I wouldn't worry hon.

pain or blood isnt the end of all.. i had a scan at 12 weeks after not having any bleeding or cramps and there was sjust a sac.. With that said, any doctor that does as scan at 2-4 weeks pregnant is ridiculous... At 4 weeks, you wont see anything but uterine thickening ....  You probably are not 2 weeks because based on the ways doctors date you if your baby was conceived two weeks ago then you would be 4 weeks...

If you just tested positive though, its probably wayyyyyyyyyy too early to see anything so at this point its not worth stressing.. i wouldnt go back for another for at least 2 weeks...

he should be testing your hcg lvls at this stage for viability... The heart doesnt even start beating until 5 weeks.. SO you shouldnt work yourself up.. its your doctors mistake to have the scan so early.. especially if you think itso nly been two weeks since you conceived! =D

Try not to worry about this at all. I have no idea why your doctor did a scan this early. As you said, it's pointless. At 2 weeks pregnant the baby is just implanting. At 4 weeks it's the size of a dot and nothing is seen. You MIGHT see a thickened lining, and that's about it. You won't see anything anywhere this soon. If you're only 2 weeks, wait 4-6 weeks before you have another scan done. If you're 4 weeks, wait 2-4 weeks.

You won't see anything if you're only 2-4 weeks pregnant. You're body is just beginning to develop the pregnancy & is just a bunch of cells doubling & quadrupling to form into the things that will eventually become the yolk sac & fetal pull. Getting your levels checked will let you know if its a viable preg or not. At about 5+ weeks is when you will likely "see" what you're looking for.

I went for a scan when I was 6 weeks and they didn't see anything found out I had a miscarriage but you're only 2-4 wekks so that may not be the case for you wishing you all the best luck and sprinkling baby powder on you.
