Fancy Tricks!

Okay, so I know many of us on this board are ttc.  Some of us like myself have never been pregnant, but am hoping to get pregnant very soon.  Some have been pregnant and m/c, some have had successful pregnancies and are now ttc, and some on this board are currently pregnant.  So, what I want to know, from all the experts out there who have achieved pregnancy, are there any tricks you want to share on this board?  I know all about the ovulation and stuff, but what about successful positions?  Or, is it truly helpful to put your legs up in the air afterwards, or prop a pillow under your butt?

All your comments are interesting, and my husband just said to me last night that I'm thinking too much about this, and that we need to just go with it and if it happens, it happens.  I'm starting to agree!  I went out and bout the ovulation predictor kit and have been testing daily, and really, nothing will change for me if I'm ovulating or not.  My hubby and I BD 5 times a week as it is, so we're sure to do it around ovulation at least once I would think.

I am currently pregnant.  My husband and I were ttc for 5 months when he got his hand mangled in an exhaust fan.  He had to have one finger amputated and pins put in two of his others.  We decided that we would put things on hold until he was healed up and off the pain killers.  Needless to say, as soon as he stopped taking the pain killer and was up to it, it just happened.  I was not even counting days, and completely had forgotten when my last period had been.  I was completely shocked to say the least.  For my sister, they tried for 4 years, and when they decided it wasn't going to work and to quit trying, she got pregnant the next month.

I got pregnant in September but m/c in October.  I agree with lilpixie.  My fiance and i decided we wanted to have a baby but we were going to just let it happen when it happened and sure enough I couldn't believe it, I got pregnant.  Now ever since our m/c i have been obsessed, taking bbt, opk, etc.  I am not even having fun with it anymore.  Before it was exciting to bd and now it feels like a job.  I decided to stop with everything and go back to having fun and letting it happen when it happens.  Good luck in ttc.  One bit of advice i can tell you is to lay down for awhile after, at least 30-45 mins.  Don't get right up to use the bathroom.

I was preggo in novemeber but mc in dec... and to be honest we didnt do anything special the month i got preggo.  I wasnt counting days for ov or any of that... we just decided we wanted to start trying went off bc and took folic acid.  I find that now that were activily trying its just not happeneing... so my advice would be to stop thinking about it so much have fun with you husband/partner and your be preggo before you know it.  Thats what weve decided to do from here on out, hopefully it will work like the last time : ) best of luck!
