Feet growing :O
So I heard that after you give birth your feet grow? :b is this true?
I have 3 kids and due with my 4th in 9wks. Ive always had big feet:( I wore a size 10 before my kids and after each 1have have gone up about a half size:o I now wear a size 11-11 1/2 depending on shoes.
Lol mine went up half a size my last pregnancy (i wear size 11 now yikes!) I hope they don't grow with this pregnancy or I'll be stick with mens shoes!!!
My feet are bigger too! i didnt know why they would grow?! that kinda makes sence lol i had a lot of swelling for the last month of my pregnancy and my feet were huge marshmallows! but then they went back down and looked normal again but yes i have noticed i cant fit in lots of my shoes and i had the same size of feet as my mom and i couldnt fit into her shoes at all! i thought maybe i had fatter feet or something lol
I read the other day in one of the pregnancy books that your feet grow during pregnancy. The muscles in your feet relax and so they tend to grow a little bit.
yesssss... mine did! i went from a 5.5 to 6.5....none of my shoes fit anymore so imagine that!
Mine also went up a half size but im kinda happy because its hard finding any cute heels in the kids section :/
Like stated above your body release relaxin which relaxes the arches which can make them bigger but also you have swelling which makes your shoes tighter. I know with my first pregnancy I went up a whole size and still, almost 14 months later, can't fit into some of my old shoes.
my mum maintains her feet grew half a size with each pregnancy! mine didnt and ive had 2 babys...hope they dont this time either, i like my little feet!
cause I heard your feet 'grow' thats something ive never heard before. I know they swell sometimes but I hope mine dont grow! ;b
Mine did!! About three months after I had my daughter my husband and I were going out on a date so I got all dressed up and went to put on my favorite pair of Jimmy Choos and they didn't fit! :( I had to go up a half size.
It's not so much that they "grow"....and yes, most women's feet DO swell during pregnancy but it goes away.
What you probably mean is that the relaxin in a pregnant woman's body causes her joints to loosen, and that includes the joints in her feet. Add extra weight to that and yes, your feet might get WIDER after pregnancy because the joints in your feet relax a bit, but they won't necessarily "grow"...I've known some women to go up about a half of a shoe size after pregnancy but I never had that problem...after 2 (almost 3) babies my feet are still a size 7/7.5!

Lol, Stacey, can you imagine how big your feet would be? My feet are big enough! I wear a 9.5 and i can't imagine them being any bigger because I'm short!
