12 weeks is pretty early, but you never know. I found out at 15 weeks this time and I thought that was pretty early, but I had gender determination twice after and both doctors did confirm that I'm having a girl. hopefully on your next appointment they will be able to tell you again. good luck!!
Yes, I'll definitely wait to buy the pink. Hee hee. :-D
I found out with my son that we were having a boy at 13 weeks then with my daughter and my second son we found out at 16 weeks... from my experience the techs won't guess if they don't at least think that they have a good possibility of being right. I wouldn't go out and buy all pink just yet... but its probably more reliable than one of those gender tests or the charts out there. Congrats!!
I know 12 weeks is early, which is why I was surprised that the ultrasound tech even made a guess at that point. I'm "thinking" she wouldn't have even ventured a guess if she hadn't seen something that made her think that, but who knows. I guess I'll have to wait a few more weeks and then hopefully I'll know for sure. :-D
i found out about my daughter at 19 wks and we all could clearly see that she was a girl from the little hot dog bun but i would wait for later ultra sound to be sure
I agree with Victoria. At your next ultrasound ask how sure they are - usually they'll give you a percentage (ie. they said they were 60-70% sure I was having a girl at my 19 week ultrasound.....which isn't very sure, if you ask me!)
I don't think it's very accurate that early as most are done between 16 and 20 weeks. At 12 weeks the organs are just starting to develop.
