First Dr. Appointment Tomorrow! (Excited & Worried)

So I am only 5 weeks (according to a pregnacy calculator), But I sechdruled a Dr.Appointment just to make sure that I am 100% Postitive i am preg since i did only take home tests! I am worried about what tests they are doing, But also really excited!! Is there anything I Should Know about the first appointment? Or any MUST ask questions? I really don't know what to expect! I've been told that they will probably do tests, and since I think i have A Yeast Infection (ehh) they will have to check my vagina to be sure right? Or something I don't know Never had one beforee! But I'm really excited.. Its so sureal that I am actually expecting! I really like this sight, & Enjoy reading peoples posts!

Hopefully I make some friends on here that I can share my pregnacy with that would be AMAZINGG! (:

Thanks, my fiancé has a son already so he is alot of help but doesn't know all the questions I've asked him! And didn't see this doctor, I guess every doctor is different I just want to know what to expect. I've had a miscarriage so I've had a vaginal ultasound & my pelvic and everything Checked was awkward and painful lol!
I've been told before that they usually don't do papsmires on females my age (18) so idk if they will do that.

Your obgyn will do s pregnancy test and also a papsmere. If you are for sure pregnant they will tellyou and then do a sonogram. They will tell you the due date of your baby. They also will do tests for any std's and be able to tell you if you have a yeast infection. My suggestion is that you ask what all is healthy and unhealthy for the baby both physically and food wise. Ask them what vitamins to take and what medicines to avoid. Ask them anything like when you will be able to find out the sex of your baby(usually around 16-18 weeks they will do the ultrasound and tell you. Although they can sometimes tell around 12 weeks). Just ask anything that you are curious about whether it be about sex during pregnancy or even just being a good mom. They will always answer to the best of their ability no matter the question.

my first appt was just to confirm i was pregnant so they had me pee in a cup and drew blood to check my hcg levels. then the next appt which was only a few days later i sat down with the dr and he explained the whole process from start to finish and we discussed family history to check for risk factors and they did more blood work to check for them.. your dr may Combine these 2 appts into one but they will do a physical exam too so just ask them about the yeast infection. good luck and congrats!
