For non breast feeding moms! Question!

At birth when the milk comes in and it's very painful!
What are some ways to relieve the pain or possibly keep it from happening?

I hate how bad it hurts and to me it's worse than birth its self!
Mine was so bad my husband had to help me pump some of it out to relieve the presser!!

All tips would be greatly appreciated!

Your milk dries up on its own cos your body realises its not being used

Don't touch your boobs or try "release" the pressure by expressing milk. This generates more milk as your body thinks "oh it's being used we need to make more to keep supplies up". Don't put them under warm water either! So the more you play and stuff with them the longer and more milk you're going to keep getting

I know I'm gonna do the ace bandage and ice! That's the only think that helped besides pumping alittle out every now and then! Didn't pump too much because that only encourages my body to produce more!

Yes! I'm a formula feeding momma and I wish I could prevent even getting milk!
My son and my cousins son were born the same day.
Mine formula fed
Hers breastfed
And to this day my son weighs twice as much as hers started walking and doing everything ahead of hers so I don't see the point in breast feeding this time when my son did so good on formula the first time!

Cabbage leaves did nothing but make my boobs stink like cabbage when I tried it!

I had my boyfriend wrap an ace bandage around me and just had to keep changing nursing pads and wore tight sports bras and ice packs!!

You wanna dry up your breasts? Honestly, a couple of days of engorged breasts is what it takes.. :( I know it's so painful.. cabbage leaves and cold compresses to help dry up your milk supply.

Wear raw cabbage leaves in your bra whenever you can, the sulfer helps to dry up the milk.  Also try not to eat things that aid in milk production ( you can google what they are cuz idk, except I heard oatmeal aids in milk production.
