Formula vs breastfeeding

First time mom here. 19 weeks and already I get a lot of opinions on how breastfeeding is so important and this and that but what if I can't? What if i really don't feel comfortable breast feeding?  Are people gonna look at me like a bad mother ? I was bottle fed and my two siblings were breast fed and there's so difference between us, why do people make a big deal if you don't breast feed? Just looking for opinions no judging please :)

I was 17 when I had my first. I could not breastfeed without a shield. I was really disappointed because I produced a lot of milk. Like I was a cow or something. This time around I'm 24 and my nipple are bigger than last time. I will try again. Don't be discouraged. There are ways to help if you truly want too.

Breast feeding is supposed to be better for numerous reasons but I personally formula fed both my kids and will formula feed this one. I never felt comfortable with the idea of breast feeding and I dont want to have to worry about pumping or my boobs leaking when I go back to work. Nothing ever came in with my first baby but with my second baby I did leak for a about a week or two after I had her and then it went away. For me formula feeding was easier and it made it easier for my husband to help feed the babies and have some bonding time with them too.

Btw, don't worry about people thinking you're a bad mother. Believe me if it's not breastfeeding people will find something else to pick at you about.
Oh, another good thing about breastfeeding is it helps your body get back to normal. Something about getting your insides back in order and it helps you lose the baby weight faster.

I feel the same. Although I've heard bad things about formula that makes me think, I rather breast feed then she intake GMO or crap from a product we absolutely have no control over. I'll know what I put in my body. There has to be resources at your hospital that they can provide to help with breast feeding and or you can get a breast pump and just bottle feed her, but its still breadt milk.

Its because breastfeeding can help protect ur baby from Infections and has all the natural nutrients he/she needs. Formula is good too but its not as healthy as it is when u breastfeed.

I breastfed my son but I don't judge people for not doing it. Plenty of healthy people were given formula.
Breastfeeding is healthier, but like my Aunt said to me, people preach about breastfeeding but when their baby turns into a toddler they start feeding the toddler processed food and fastfood without blinking an eye. Lol
With that being said it's certainly worth trying! Truth be told I HATE breastfeeding! It made me cringe but I made it through my son's first 5 months before I lost my milk. Even though I hated it I am planning on breastfeeding my next child for his or her's first year.
