They handled my baby girl great. They took her to the nursery to do vitals and then brought her back. They frequently checked to see how I was doing and if I wanted them to take her to the nursery for some time apart. I breastfed so they said if at any point I needed a break or wanted one they would take her to the nursery and bring her back for feeding. I kept her in my room the whole time except when they did her vitals. They come in and check how you are doing often. They gave me pain meds that worked so well I didnt need it as often as they offered. I had an epidural, they did great with that too. If you to sit still, so they have a nurse in the front helping you to focus while they input the needle. Mine was a constant drip. If your family is quiet they can stay past the time. If you tell the nurses you want everyone to leave by a certain time, or you only want a certain amount of people in there at a time...the nurse is strict.  They do not let the family know its your wishes. They act like its the hospital's policy. We had family coming in while I was asleep at 1130 at night. My husband told the nurse he wanted me to get some sleep. So she came in and said "hospital rules, time to leave" :) anytime they checked me, changed my sheets or anything they made everyone leave the room. They took very well care of us. The food was actually decent too :D
each room has a couch, bed, night stand, and a few extra chairs. They also have a shower in each room. They helped me out alot They also give you stuff to help make sure your area is super clean. They tell you how to clean down there. You bleed alot after having a baby of course. But the different stuff they gave me and how they taught me how to use it, I didnt feel all gross and yucky like I thought I would. I cannot express how great of care they took of us. They also have a head nurse that comes by to find out how your experience was/is. I got into it with one nurse and they informed me I would never see that nurse again. Informed me the nurse had two options... to transfer to a different part of the hospital or no longer work for MCA. they said they take the mother's care very seriously. Since the nurse treated me the way she did, she was not cut out for the maternity ward. That nurse was my only issue... and when I told my next nurse she went and got the head nurse... which went to go get some on over the maternity ward which went and got someone over the whole hospital. They were super mad as to what the nurse said and done to me.
Sorry about my rambling. I wanted to tell you my experience though. It was great, other than. One nurse that they took care of. I have had several friends have their babies there and have not seen that nurse again. They also offer parenting classes when you have the baby. It teaches you how to change diapers, clothes, care for a circumcision,  care for the cord, and everything else you need to know :))

I am delivering at MCA, I was born there, my brother was born there, my first little one was born there and now this one will be. I love the rooms! The deliver room is AWESOME! And the room you are in until you are released are pretty nice. They have a couch that folds out for anyone that stays over. My husband did with our first. :D
