When are tests for gestational diabetes generally administered and how do you avoid getting GD?

I had been tested twice beginning of pregnancy and at 25 weeks

That's strange, my dr is testing me for it at my next appt and I will only be 15 weeks.  Do they test early if u r high risk?  Also my dr said u can definately help avoid it by walking 30 mins everyday and eating a GB diet (low-carb).

I believe it's between 24-28 weeks of pregnancy I'm pretty sure that's what my hand out said that I got from my midwife. And gestational diabetes isn't avoidable like said above. It's when your pancreas just doesn't make enough insulin while pregnant.

Mine was done at 25 weeks it's done between weeks 24-28. There's no way of avoiding it

Around 24-28 weeks the Dr will test you. I took mine at 28 weeks. There's no preventing it. You either have it or you don't.

You can't avoid it, it's just something you get. And I got my test done at 27 weeks.
