Gas or Flutters ?

Okay I was told I'm 7 weeks based on my last period and this os my second pregnancy. The other day i felt what i thought was a flutter but the nurse said it maybe gas. I think I would know the difference between gas and flutters. Whats the possibility its fluters or that I'm further along then what they think. I also have discomfort in my stomach when i lay on it and i think its too early for that. And a lot of swelling. I've never heard of all this swelling in early pregnancy.

The baby isn't even an inch long at 7 weeks and the arms and legs would be tiny tiny. It most likely is something else. I had phantom kicks for months having my son so I know it deffinently easy to mistake other things for movement with so many changes going on in your body. I first started feeling my son at 14 weeks.

I don't think it was a uterine contraction because I've had those before. I'm thinking i may be further along. Ive felt it 3 times in the same spot

You'd need to be around 16w to feel the baby as the uterus has to be pressing on the nerves of the abdominal wall before you feel anything.  I'm sure your midwife would have known if your uterus was that big. Most likely it was uterine contractions.
